Compliance & reporting
Exporting compliance data
Export the current Location report as PDF or CSV, preserving the selected tank, date, year, and other filters that define the evidence. Use the labels and controls described below to complete this workflow in the current TankActive web app.

Which reports can I export?
Open the required Location and use Reports & history. Daily inventory, Delivery history, Alarm history, Leak test results, Monthly Leak Tests, and CSLD Results expose PDF and CSV actions. Sensor status currently provides Download PDF rather than CSV. The available controls belong to each report; there is no single export center that bundles every compliance record.
Organization reports also export PDF or CSV and offer a Print view, but those reports are inventory views—Daily opening, Polled (M), and Polled (S)—not an annual compliance filing. Use the Location history surface when the evidence is tied to one Location.
How do I prepare the export?
The export reflects the loaded view. Changing a filter after loading does not guarantee the previous result has been replaced until the report is loaded or searched again. An empty export is not evidence that no testing or reporting obligation existed.
- 1Open the Location and select the report under Reports & history.
- 2Set the report's available controls, such as Tank, Year, Start Date, End Date, or other visible filters.
- 3Select Load report, Search, or Refresh when that screen requires it.
- 4Review the returned rows and confirm the Location, reporting period, tank selection, timestamps, and empty states.
- 5Select Export PDF or Export CSV. For Sensor status, select Download PDF.
How do I choose PDF or CSV?
The two formats can present the same underlying result differently. Preserve the original export when making working copies, and avoid changing reported values without documenting the transformation.
- PDF is a formatted, human-readable snapshot suited to review, printing, or attachment where the receiving process accepts it.
- CSV contains row-level values and is useful for sorting, reconciliation, or opening in spreadsheet software.
- TankActive does not currently offer a native Excel workbook export on these compliance screens. Renaming a CSV file does not turn it into an Excel workbook.
What should I verify before sharing?
Check that the file identifies the intended Location and period and that the report contains the expected tanks and rows. Compare automatic tank gauge (ATG) timestamps or test dates with the source when a record appears stale or incomplete. Keep the file name and accompanying notes clear enough for another reviewer to reconstruct the selection.
TankActive provides the available product record; it does not guarantee that a PDF or CSV satisfies a regulator's format, signature, submission, or retention rules. Those requirements vary by jurisdiction and facility. Confirm the required form with the responsible compliance professional or regulator. If a needed report, date range, or export action is absent, contact TankActive support for help finding what the product currently stores.
